Chepstow Swifts

The Festival falls at the height of Swift activity in Chepstow and if we are lucky with the weather, there will be screaming Swifts about. Chepstow is home to an important, but declining Swift breeding colony. The Chepstow Swift Group can tell you about our amazing local Swifts and  explain how we can all help these endangered birds.

Chepstow Orchards Volunteer Group

We are a volunteer group, coordinated by Chepstow Town Council, who look after the Community Orchards and fruit trees that can be found all around the town. We are always on the lookout for additional volunteers and run pruning training sessions for volunteers so no experience is necessary. We will have an activity at the fete but have yet to decide what that will be.

Marie Curie Cymru

Marie Curie is dedicated to ensuring a better end of life to everyone in Wales, through providing excellent end of life care and support services both in our hospice in Penarth and through our hospice at home nursing services in local communities across Wales. Marie Curie is here for anyone with an illness they’re likely to die from, and those close to them. We bring 75 years of experience and leading research to the care we give. We push for a better end of life for all by campaigning at Welsh Government and sharing research to change the system. Unfortunately, one in four people don’t get the care and support they need at the end of their lives. We don’t think that’s good enough. Our Information and Support services in Wales provide bereavement support and information on end of life care, ensuring that no one feels alone, either in person or over the phone. We would like an opportunity to talk about our work in Wales, discuss our volunteering opportunities, and provide information about Marie Curie services and upcoming events.
