VB Samba will kick off the festival in style at 09:30, parading from The Arch down the High Street to Beaufort Square with their unique energy and rhythm.

Exciting News: Art on the Railings is Back! 

After a long absence, we are thrilled to announce the return of Art on the Railings! Church Walk will once again be transformed into a vibrant showcase of local talent, featuring an incredible array of paintings by talented artists.

Visitors will have the opportunity to engage directly with the artists, gaining insights into their creative processes and the stories behind their masterpieces. This event allows artists to connect with the public as they browse and buy their work, fostering a sense of community while networking with fellow creatives.

Wye Valley Writers

Chepstow Artspace

 Readings and Interactive Event

Wye Valley Writers will be sharing their work at Chepstow Art Space from 12:30 to 2:00. The group is made up of local writers with a shared enthusiasm for writing—some aiming for publication or competitions, others simply writing for pleasure. Together, they produce a wide variety of work, including poetry, short stories, articles, and novels for both adults and children.

The group’s focus is on developing strong, well-crafted writing through encouragement, constructive feedback, and the exchange of ideas.

At the event, members of Wye Writers will read from their poetry and prose. There will also be an interactive segment where the audience can get involved, and refreshments will be provided. Everyone is welcome to come along and enjoy an afternoon of local writing and creativity.

Chepstow Club

With Jenny from Find Yourself in Crafts

Looking for something fun, hands-on, and creative for the kids? Head to the Chepstow club in Moor Street during the Chepstow Festival of Arts and dive into a world of colour, imagination, and craft!

Led by Jenny, founder of Find Yourself in Crafts, the Youth Creativity area is all about inspiring young minds through arts and crafts. Jenny brings years of experience in using creativity to support wellbeing and mental health – and now she’s sharing that passion with the next generation.

What to Expect:

  • Drop-in craft sessions all day
  • A variety of fun and engaging activities for kids of all ages
  • A welcoming, supportive space to create, play, and explore

Whether your child loves painting, gluing, building, or just getting messy, there’s something for everyone. No booking needed – just pop in and join the fun!
